Unable to share folder or file over network due to file/print sharing disabled.
Cause:
The properties for the folder do not enable file or print sharing.
Solution:
Double-click the 'Network' icon in 'Control Panel', and enable file and print sharing.
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'. (The 'Control Panel' window appears.)

3) Double-click the 'Network' icon. (The 'Network' dialog box appears.)

4) Click the 'Configuration' tab.
5) Click 'File and Print Sharing...'. (The 'File and Print Sharing' dialog box appears.)

6) Select the 'I want to be able to give others access to my files' check box.
7) Select the 'I want to be able to allow others to print to my printer(s)' check box.
8) Click 'OK'. (The 'Network' dialog box reappears.)
9) Click 'OK'. (The 'System Settings Change' dialog box appears.)
10) Do one of the following:
a) Click 'Yes' to restart the computer immediately.
b) Click 'No' to wait to restart.
NOTE: File and print sharing will not be in effect until you restart the computer.
